Draft 13 Media makes nonfiction films, photographic stories, and selected commissioned work.
Andrew’s background spans photojournalism, Navy media, documentary film, education, and commissioned production. The company brings that experience to new stories and to defined roles within other productions.

Why we make the work.
Draft 13 Media exists to make films and photographs that help people see one another more fully.
We bring close attention and visual craft to the lives, places, and work in front of us.
We create room for understanding and feeling without sacrificing truth, context, or dignity.
Our commitments
Listen before deciding.
We listen, observe, and give people room to speak from their own experience. What we learn should be allowed to change how the story is told.
Make the craft count.
Composition, sound, pacing, and stillness should contribute to the experience. The aim is work that makes someone feel something and gives them something to consider.
Keep the context.
A strong image or a clean edit should not change what a person meant or turn an assumption into a fact. Respect leaves room for complexity, disagreement, and difficult truths.
Be accountable.
We make participation and intended use clear, take privacy seriously, and credit contributions accurately. We remain responsible for what we publish and for addressing errors in it.
Our nonfiction standard
Do not reinvent reality.
We do not use generative technologies to create or reconstruct images, footage, voices, sounds, or testimony for our nonfiction storytelling. We work from observation, recorded experience, and verifiable sources.
When the record is incomplete, we acknowledge the gap rather than generate a substitute.
The Working Relationship
Begin with the Subject.
The first conversation is about what needs to be made, who it concerns, and what it will take to do it well.
Some projects call for Draft 13 to lead the work. Others call for Andrew to join an existing production.
The role, scope, and deliverables should be clear before work begins.
